SCHOOL SCHEDULE

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Note:  Inclement weather conditions may include rain, extreme cold, extreme heat, or unhealthy air conditions.  An intercom message will be delivered to notify you of inclement weather schedule.

Before School Procedures:

• On an inclement weather day, teachers will retrieve their students from the auditorium by 8:06 a.m.  Teachers will escort their students to the classroom.  Late students will be directed to go directly to their rooms by office staff. 

Recess Procedures:

• During inclement weather schedule, teachers will escort their students to the eating area so that those who participate in “Second Chance Breakfast” may still do so.  The students will remain in the eating area/auditorium for the remainder of their recess break.  Supervision will be provided.  Teachers will retrieve their students from the eating area/auditorium and escort them back to class.
• The teachers who wish to remain in their rooms may use a buddy system for a bathroom/water break.  If you do not have a buddy teacher, please notify the office so that coverage can be provided for a bathroom/ water break.

Lunch Procedures:

• During inclement weather schedule, teachers will only have a 30- minute lunch period.  Teachers are responsible for the supervision of their students for the last 15 minutes of the 45- minute lunch period.
